Solar heating jobs at risk

ABOUT 85 jobs in Cardiff could be under threat after a solar heating company went into financial difficulties.

Partners in the Business Recovery Service at PricewaterhouseCoopers were sent in to the Thermomax Group, which is headquartered in Bangor, Co Down, and also has a base in Cardiff.

Large-scale trial of smart meters
The government and energy supply industry yesterday began a £20m trial to encourage households to curb their use of gas and electricity and reduce Britain's emissions of greenhouse gases.

Cwmaman church goes solar
St Joseph's Church in Cwmaman, Cynon Valley, has recently been renovated, and with 30 solar panels fitted, is hoping to export significant amounts of electricity to the grid:
