LCBP Householder scheme to be relaunched
On 29th May the householder grant scheme for renewables will be relaunched, and in addition to the extra money announced in the Budget, changes have been made that reduce the maximum grant for some technologies, and also tighten up the time allowed to complete the installation:

  • Solar pv : was £3000/kWp, max £15,000 and is now down to £2,000/kWp, max £2,500. Rate remains 50%
  • Wind Turbines and Small Hydro: was £1,000/kWp, max £5,000 at 30%. The maximum grant is down to £2,500, otherwise unchamged.
  • Planning permission, specified energy efficiency measures and quotes required BEFORE application.
  • No monthly cap.
  • Significant tightening of both offer period and extensions policy.
